1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CardWiki (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

Changes to these Terms

CardWiki may update these Terms at any time. We post the updated Terms on this page with the date they take effect. For material changes, we also notify members in the app or by email.

If you keep using CardWiki after that effective date, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using CardWiki. You may delete your account by emailing support@cardwiki.ai.

Catalog contributions are permanent. What you contributed to the public catalog stays there after your account is deleted, credited anonymously to “Community” instead of your username.

2. Description of Service

CardWiki is a trading card identity and collection management platform. The Service provides card identification, catalog browsing, collection tracking, community data contributions, and compliant routing to third-party marketplaces and services. CardWiki is not a marketplace, auction house, or pricing service.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to access authenticated features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it if it changes.

Accounts held by users under 18

Trading cards are a hobby many of us started young, and younger collectors are genuinely welcome here. We also recognize that a minor's account needs more care than an adult's — so that the next generation can enjoy this hobby safely, and with a parent's guidance. If you are under 18, you may use CardWiki only with the knowledge and approval of a parent or legal guardian, and you confirm that they have reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

An account we identify as belonging to a user under 18 is subject to additional limitations. Those limitations may include any of the following, at our discretion and without prior notice:

• No access, or limited access, to paid, pro, on-demand, or usage-metered features.
• Limits on features that involve contact or publication — including, without limitation, messaging, comments, public posts, profile visibility, referrals, and any comparable feature we offer now or add later.
• Reduced participation in promotions, rewards, leaderboards, or other recognition programs, including features described in Section 5.
• A requirement that a parent or legal guardian verify the account, consent to its continued use, and accept these Terms on the minor's behalf.
• Suspension or termination of the account where verification is not completed, where consent is withdrawn, or where continued use would not be appropriate.

Verification

We reserve the right, at any time, to request information reasonably necessary to confirm an account holder's age, or to confirm that a parent or legal guardian has consented to a minor's use of the Service. We may restrict, limit, or suspend an account while such a request is outstanding, and may terminate an account where the request is not satisfied.

Some features of the Service involve payment, or authorize the purchase or sale of items of real value. Before granting or continuing access to those features, we may require additional verification — of identity, of age, of ownership or authority over an item or account, or of a parent or guardian's consent. We may also re-verify where activity on an account is inconsistent with what we have previously confirmed.

We aim to keep verification proportionate to what is at stake: light where the risk is low, and more thorough where money, valuable property, or a minor's participation is involved. This exists to protect account holders and their property, and we may decline, reverse, restrict, or unwind a transaction or feature access where verification is incomplete, has failed, or where we reasonably believe an account has been compromised or is being used without authority.

A parent or legal guardian who consents to a minor's account is responsible for that account's activity, and may contact us at support@cardwiki.ai at any time to review, restrict, or close it. Anyone who believes a minor is using CardWiki without appropriate approval may write to the same address.

These are rights, not obligations. Nothing in this section requires us to determine any user's age, and applying a limitation in one case does not waive our ability to apply it in another. Where the law that applies to you sets its own age thresholds or consent requirements for online services, those requirements apply to you in addition to this section. See also our Children's Privacy policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent card data
• Attempt to manipulate card identity, verification states, or evidence
• Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Service
• Interfere with the Service's operation, security, or other users' access
• Use the Service to facilitate counterfeiting, fraud, or deceptive practices
• Circumvent moderation, trust scoring, or rate-limiting mechanisms
• Impersonate other users, administrators, or CardWiki staff

5. Community Rewards, Fame & Promotions

CardWiki rewards genuine contributions to the public catalog with points (“Fame”), badges, tiers, streaks, leaderboard placement, and time-limited promotional recognition (such as CardWiki Claims). These are discretionary program features — they are not currency, property, or a promise of equity or ownership, they have no cash value, and CardWiki may adjust point values, multipliers, caps, tiers, and promotion mechanics at any time.

Some contributions are credited automatically at submission so you see your progress right away. Every contribution remains subject to review, and the following practices are prohibited (this list is illustrative, not exhaustive):

• Submitting junk, duplicate, fabricated, or low-effort content to farm points, streaks, missions, or quests
• Uploading images you did not take yourself, images of cards you do not possess, or images copied from other websites, sellers, or users
• Submitting false or misleading sale prices, comps, or card details
• Using multiple accounts to earn rewards, refer yourself, evade caps or cooldowns, or claim promotional placement more than once
• Coordinated or automated submission activity designed to game leaderboards, qualification gates, or promotional standings
• Circumventing review, auto-approval safeguards, rate limits, or trust mechanisms

CardWiki actively monitors reward activity. We may withhold, adjust, or reverse points and rewards, remove leaderboard or promotional placement, disqualify accounts from a promotion, and suspend or permanently ban accounts — at any time, at our sole discretion, including retroactively during or after a promotion — for violations of this section or activity we reasonably believe is deceptive or abusive. Individual promotions may carry additional published terms.

6. User-Generated Content

By submitting content to CardWiki (including card images, identity data, corrections, evidence, and mining contributions), you grant CardWiki a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and improving the Service. You retain ownership of your original content but acknowledge that identity data you contribute may become part of the shared catalog.

You represent that you have the right to submit any content you upload and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.

Card photos in CardWiki promotion

For card photos you submit for the public catalog on or after September 28, 2026 (US Pacific time) that are approved and published, you grant CardWiki a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, reproduce, and adapt those photos (for example, by cropping, resizing, or reformatting them) on CardWiki and in CardWiki's own promotion of CardWiki, including our website, social media, advertising, and press materials, and to let the platforms and publications that carry that promotion display those photos as part of it.

• You keep ownership of your photos. This license does not transfer ownership to CardWiki.
• It covers only photos submitted on or after September 28, 2026. Photos submitted before that date are not used in advertising or press.
• It covers only photos submitted for the public catalog. Photos you keep private to your collection are never used in promotion.
• CardWiki never sells your photos to third parties.
• Before CardWiki puts a photo of a graded card into an ad, a social media post or a press item, it masks the certification or serial number on the grading label.
• If CardWiki credits a photo, it credits your username only, never your real name or contact details.
• You can withdraw a photo from future promotional use at any time by emailing support@cardwiki.ai. CardWiki then stops using it in new promotional materials; materials already published or in circulation may stay as they are. Withdrawing a photo from promotion does not remove it from the public catalog, where published contributions are permanent.

This license works alongside the Privacy Policy, which still governs your personal data.

7. Intellectual Property

The CardWiki platform, including its software, design, branding, CWID system, and canonical data structures, is the property of CardWiki and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Trading card images, names, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. CardWiki's use of card data is for identification and reference purposes.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

CardWiki may provide links to third-party marketplaces, grading services, and other external services. These links are provided for convenience and reference only. CardWiki is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites.

Affiliate Links. CardWiki participates in affiliate programs, including the eBay Partner Network. Links to eBay and other marketplaces may include affiliate parameters, and CardWiki may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made after clicking them — at no additional cost to you. Affiliate participation never affects which cards, listings, or marketplaces we show or how they are ranked. See our AI & Data Use Policy for details on how we handle marketplace data.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” CardWiki makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy of card identifications, match confidence scores, estimated values, or any other data provided through the Service. CardWiki is not a professional appraisal or authentication service.

Card identity data is community-contributed and algorithmically processed. Verification states indicate confidence levels, not guarantees. Users should independently verify information important to purchase, sale, or insurance decisions.

Estimated values and sales data

Where CardWiki shows an estimated value, a market value, a price range, a price trend, a recent sale, or a collection total, that figure is informational only. It is an estimate, not an appraisal, not a valuation for insurance, and not an offer to buy or sell.

These figures are built from sales data supplied by third-party data providers and from public marketplace activity, together with information submitted by our members. We do not independently verify every underlying sale.

Please understand the following about any number you see:

• It may be incomplete, delayed, out of date, or wrong.
• It may be based on very few sales. Where we can, we show you how many.
• It may be based on a different grade from the card you hold. When we do not have sales at your card's exact grade, we may show the closest data we have, and we label which grade it came from. A graded sale is not evidence of what an ungraded card is worth, and vice versa.
• Prices for the same card vary widely by condition, grade, grading company, authentication, variant, print run, marketplace, timing, and buyer.
• Where you have entered your own estimated value, that is your figure, not ours. We display it back to you and do not check it.

We do not guarantee that any card will have sales data or an estimated value at all.

Many cards in the catalog have no sales history, and coverage will always be uneven. The absence of data says nothing about a card's worth.

Nothing on CardWiki is financial, investment, tax, or appraisal advice. CardWiki is not a licensed appraiser, dealer, broker, or financial adviser. Do not rely on these figures for buying, selling, insuring, lending against, or reporting the value of a card. Get an independent professional valuation for anything that matters.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardWiki and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to losses from incorrect card identification, data errors, or reliance on match confidence scores.

11. Account Termination

CardWiki may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, abusive behavior, or at our discretion with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. You may request export of your collection data before termination takes effect.

12. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Cardwiki LLC is an Oregon limited liability company. Nothing in this section removes any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live.

Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal claim, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally. You agree to contact us at legal@cardwiki.ai with a written description of the dispute and your desired resolution. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days of receipt. If we cannot reach a resolution within that period, either party may proceed to arbitration as described below.

Binding Arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service — including questions about their existence, validity, or termination — that is not resolved informally shall be finally settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be seated in Oregon, United States, except that where the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules provide for a hearing in or near the consumer's home locale, those rules control. Arbitration may be conducted remotely or on documents where the rules allow. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgment may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Small Claims Exception

Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in lieu of arbitration, provided the claim qualifies and remains in small claims court.

No Class Actions

All claims must be brought in a party's individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.

Costs

AAA filing fees shall be allocated in accordance with AAA's Consumer Arbitration Rules. Each party shall bear its own attorneys' fees unless the arbitrator determines the claim was frivolous.
