1989 Fleer Basketball

Fleer's third consecutive annual basketball release (following 1987-88 and 1988-89 sets), issued in fall 1989 for the 1989-90 NBA season. 168 base cards numbered #1-#168 plus 11 stickers (one per pack). Single series, team-alphabetical order. 15 cards + 1 sticker per wax pack, 36 packs per wax box. Dense with Hall of Famers (24+ HOFers). Famous for inconsistent quality control (centering issues). Considered the last Fleer basketball set printed in somewhat limited quantities before the massive overproduction of the early 1990s. No parallels, autos, or relics — a pure base set with stickers.
